Reimagining Resilience

A Participatory Workshop Exploring Social Protection Measures

Can we create a space where diverse actors within the advocacy ecosystem come together to experiment, collaborate, and reimagine what resilience means?

Reimagining Resilience is a hands-on, participatory workshop that brings together a wide range of stakeholders – including civil society organisations, funders, researchers, journalists, and policymakers – to develop a shared language around social protection and explore ways to strengthen the resilience of vulnerable communities.

Designed as a collaborative process, the workshop invites participants to critically assess existing social protection schemes and design new approaches that enhance household resilience against shocks and risks.

By drawing on the diverse experiences of participants and integrating quantitative tools for assessing vulnerability, the workshop encourages an in-depth engagement with the core components of social protection.

The workshop also provides an opportunity for organisations, researchers, and journalists to move beyond common implementation hurdles and access issues. Instead, the focus shifts to understanding and designing a comprehensive safety net for households, using a simulation-based approach and data-driven insights.

Reimagining Resilience is adaptable and can be tailored to represent different communities, and contexts – making it relevant to a variety of scenarios and challenges.
