Highlights of December 2018:
- On December 3rd and 4th 2018, Bharath, Harsha, Sruthi and Vaibhav conducted a workshop with government officials managing land, water, and waste in Chennai to understand their perspectives related to waste, water, and land-use issues in the city as part of the project ‘Platform for integrated governance in Chennai’, a collaboration between Fields of View, Okapi India, IIT-Madras, and Tamil Nadu State Land Use Board. FoV’s efforts in this project are supported by Sir Dorabji Tata Trust.
- On December 3rd and 4th 2018, Shambhavi and Harish conducted the FoV workshop for students at the Centre for Social Entrepreneurship, at IIT-Madras.
- We had our annual planning meeting from December 7 th to 13th 2018.
Highlights of January 2019:
- On January 11th 2019, Anirudh conducted a Rubbish! game session for young adults enrolled in the LP4Y Green Jar Micro-Economic Initiative Programme for them to understand the waste ecosystem in the city of Bangalore.
- From January 21st to February 1st 2019, Sruthi and Shambhavi conducted a short-term elective course titled 'Pucca House' at NID Bangalore as a part of the institute's International Open Elective 2019 course.
- On January 25th 2019, Bharath and Harsha were invited to attend the India-AI Roundtable 2019 hosted by IIM-Bangalore working towards contributing to to give shape to a national AI policy by 2021.
Highlights of February 2019:
- On February 2nd 2019, Harsha and Harish conducted and demonstrated Cantor’s World, a game developed by Fields of View on the Inclusive Wealth Index (IWI) and its application at BarCamp Bangalore.
- On February 13th 2019, Sruthi, Yashwin and Selva conducted a City Game session for the students of St.Joseph's College as part of their festival Meta.
- On February 17th 2019, Harsha and Yashwin attended a workshop by Goonj celebrating its twentieth anniversary and to have discussions on its work concerning disaster management and preparedness.
- From February 25th to 27th 2019, Harsha attended the the O.P.Jindal Conference on Public Policy jointly organised by NASPAA (Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration), USA and Jindal University, Sonepat, Haryana. FoV presented Cantor’s World and City Game as a part of its contribution to application of simulation-based learning in public policy.
