- The Smart Campus project:
The first phase of "Towards a decentralized architecture for a smart campus using multi-agent systems" with IIIT-B was completed on November 17th 2012. The report for the first phase was submitted.

Games for training: We began working with the Institute of Plasma Research on the project titled "VR training system for operation and maintenance of an in-vessel robotic arm". The outer mesh of the tokamak system has been modelled.

We organized a game session of City Game with people from Arghyam at their campus Indiranagar, Bangalore on October 26, 2012. Here's a video of the game session.

We had a six month planning and review meeting to discuss the road map for FoV on September 15th, 2012.

Games for learning: Switch On Energy, an organization facilitating last mile access to energy to help livelihoods by training capacity building and supporting innovation had discussions with Murali and Bharath on the use of games for learning in West Bengal for school children.

Girish Krishnan Ramdas, a student at NID, Gandhinagar is interning with us for a month. He will be working on a safety awareness game.

Smart Campus- U, S
The first phase of the project concluded on November 17th, 2012. In this phase, we conducted surveys and interviews to understand user behaviour & preferences, and began development of a web application to aid in energy accounting. A report of activities for this phase has been submitted to IIIT-B.

Awareness Game about Cycle Lanes- P, G
We have begun working on an awareness game about the recently introduced cycle lanes in Jayanagar. Currently we are conducting surveys to understand people's opinions about these cycle lanes.

Enhancing Solidarity: Unpacking women's work in public spaces using games, simulation, and visualisation - U, S, G,V
We submitted the above titled proposal to the ESRC-DFID "Development Frontiers Research Fund, 2012-13" Call for Proposals. The overall objective of this proposal is to examine the dynamics and experiences of women's lives who work in urban public spaces, and to use the concepts of games, visualisations and simulations to create a platform for women to interact and to generate & disseminate knowledge.

Cities of Hope: Examining the evolution of slums through health systems perspective

We submitted the above titled proposal to DFID-ESRC joint fund for poverty alleviation research, phase 3. The aim of the proposal was to examine the different ways in which the evolution and growth of slums in the city of Bangalore, India, have a critical impact on the manner and extent to which policies for reducing poverty are implemented, especially in the area of Health.
