- The Smart Campus project:
The project "Towards a decentralised architecture for a smart campus using multi-agent systems" with IIIT-B was approved and work has commenced on it.

Games for training: We also began working with the Institute of Plasma Research on the project titled "VR training system for operation and maintenance of an in-vessel robotic arm".

We organised a game session of the City Game with people from Arghyam at their campus Indiranagar, Bangalore on 10th of July 2012. Here's a video of the game session.

We organised a game session of the Indian Energy Game with Transcendix at FoV on the 12th of July 2012.

Institutional Structure of ICDS: Aditi, Bharath and Niveditha are working with an NGO Maraa to understand the institutional structure of the ICDS program and how the communities can be involved in the management of the Anganwadis.

Amar is working with the South Zone Health Officer of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (the Bangalore municipal corporation) to design information brochures about Dengue.

We submitted a proposal titled "Women on the streets: Unpacking Women's resilience to violence through Games, Visualisations and Simulations" to the IDRC competition "Safe and Inclusive Cities".

We submitted the proposal "Towards a decentralised architecture for a smart campus using multi-agent systems" to IIIT-B, which was approved in August. The project is divided into two phases, and we are now in the process of data collection (Phase 1).

Games for training- P, G
The proposal "VR training system for operation and maintenance of an in-vessel robotic arm" submitted to the Institute of Plasma Research was accepted by the Board of Research in Fusion Science and Technology.
The aim of the project is to train scientists and technicians to operate and maintain a robotic arm for the Steady State Superconducting Tokamak. We have started work on the project and are scheduled to visit IPR, Gandhinagar in October.

Understanding the institutional structure of the ICDS program- U
We are working with Maraa, a Bangalore based NGO, to understand the institutional structure of the ICDS program and how the communities can be involved in the management of the Anganwadis. The effort focuses on
looking into malnutrition in urban poor and understanding its consequences.
Maps and infographics evolving out from this effort will be aimed at helping the
communities in understanding malnutrition and its impact.

Visualising health guidelines- U, V, S
We are working with the BBMP to develop information brochures for Dengue.
We are also evaluating the use of the tool EventShop to identify epidemic
outbreaks in Bangalore. EventShop
is a tool developed by Prof. Ramesh Jain's group in the University of California, Irvine.

Namma Cycle Lanes- U, G
Using Unity3D, we are trying to develop a single player awareness game
about the use of cycle lanes (which were very recently introduced
in a few areas in Bangalore) and whether or not the current implementation is sufficient.
